Alex and Andia met in Denver in the fall of 2020, finding each other on a dating app, as one did in the immediate wake of the pandemic. Neither can actually remember who contacted who first! On their first date they connected quickly over a similar taste in music and concerts (Nine Inch Nails and Busta Rhymes specifically came up), sharing pictures of their pets, a common background in graphic design, and a bunch of outdoor hobbies.

Andia moved to Denver from LA at the start of that year, barely getting settled before things started shutting down, so Alex had the high-pressure task of not just making an impression, but selling a self-described beach girl on the advantages of mountain life and Denver.

It worked, and although they took their time dating and merging lives together, this wedding has been seen as an obvious one by their friends and family for a long time!
